Bonding with your kids in the surf is great.
Wait till you're teaching them to drive.
That's REALLY bonding.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

16.
Well the first was 17 because Qld, you know.
The other two were 16 coz that was the age you could get your learners in NSW.

You're Victorian (Melbourne?) and never surfed either of those waves before?
Nah Mornington Peninsula - other side of Port Phillip Bay. I've surfed Jan Juc and 13th before but that's it.

I've actually surfed more in Sydney than that side of the coast

Was bloody good too, great waves

Grooter's kind of fat so.... he doesn't get around as much as normal people do. Breaks weren't accessible by scooter till very recently.
This is true, since I went on the cholesterol medication I have...... regressed a little bit. It is winter though!

I can only imagine how many days with big swells and winter westerlies you have spent in westernport while it's pumping on the other side of the bay.

Used to get my son to stand on a bodyboard on the waters edge when he was about four or five. I would hold his hand and as the swell lifted the board up we would take off skim boarding. Got him on a foamy I picked up at a council throw out not long after. He worked out how to stand up pretty quick and we have surfed together ever since.

Daughter had lessons and can stand up but it never really inspired her to keep trying. Too much trouble. She prefered to float around talking to her friends, dancing or doing yoga.
Similar with driving. I taught him. She doesn't particularly want a licence.

It came from a fairly long easterly fetch out near Tahiti which formed last Sunday and blew pretty strong Sunday night and Monday before shifting away SE behind NZ.

Expect the pulse to continue through tomorrow before slowly fading.

Cheers Nick.
Supposed to be an easterly tomorrow so hopefully there'll be a light offshore early.
