Yeah, some things you leave to the experts. Like housework and clothes shopping

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

So I tried to watch the surf ranch thingy. Man, Kelly Slater has led the WSL on a merry dance hasn't he? What a complete elitist circle jerk. This grotesque cult like orgy of the privileged is truly repulsive.

Sales and marketing 101. Don't lose touch with your customer base.

What customer base? They're fashion companies more than anything. When's the last time you bought a pair of $100+ boardies?
Maybe they're trying to create a new market? Or different target ? One thing is for sure, KS is trying to milk surfing for as much as he possibly can

From The Guardian:
Become a surf instructor in 10 weeks
A 10-week surf safari and volunteering programme along South Africa’s coast culminates in an instructor’s qualification that could set you up for life. We join the new intake

Surely Australia is orders of magnitude safer than South Africa.

Guy at work just came back from cloud break. Few pros there, jjf's brother and some Hawaiians, a big wave world tour surfer and Ryan birch. According to him birch was the standout surfer, stylish soul arch bottom turns into beastly barrels. Work mate got some nice waves and was both terrified and stoked at the same time haha.

birch is one of the best surfers i've seen in the flesh. if i had to describe his surfing it'd be: stylish lunacy.

incidentally, the 5th track in the Panicked Mummies third album is also called Stylish Lunacy, featuring a Stephen Shearer ballad intro about rock fishing in chinese imported thongs.

Aye. Often those S Ocean storms hit one or the other: Cloudbreak or Teahupoo, depending upon which side of NZ they travel. But the last week or so there's been some mightily impressive lows forming below Tasmania, broad and deep, long-lasting too, and they've split NZ travelling up west and east coasts, hitting both CB and Chopes.

Similar pattern looks set to continue.

I think these next series of fetches look even more aimed up the Tasman sea swell window.

very long period swells ahead.
