Weak slop with gusty onshores in the rain. More swell is needed for a take off over deeper water. Looks like Wanda on a bad windy day when the wind and kite surfers are out.

I, for one, did not crease a Firewire nose against a rock at low tide today. I'm like a safety first sideways passing defensive midfielder so I go for the high percentage passes.

Forgot to say had a quick wave up at Bungan yesterday. Ok. Popped up to Newport to grab a bite to eat (that's another story). On the street, head down and following my feet, I suddenly looked up to see a figure sporting a disapproving glare. It was Real Surf's Nick Carroll, well a painting of him, well more or an historical tribute to the man and his bro'. Pretty good painting I think. And yes he is wearing a hat.

Clubbie caps are multi directional.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Indeed they are, with the design perimeter being a condom.

Hence the saying: Clubbies are alright for dickheads.

On second look, that Firewire nose wasn't creased .. It was buckled. I could see the foam beneath the cracked wooden deck.

Surfed Tuncurry Breakwater this morning. Relatively crowded and the tide was getting a bit low. A bit crunchy for this old stager.
Surfed it yesterday with about four people. Got a few.
Crescent had waves most days. Late afternoon Boxing Day was the best.
Surfed Backside of Plomer which had goodish banks and One Mile at Forster.

Fun 2 -3 footers at Manly. Despite the amount of people floating around, barely anyone surfing and beach was closed to swimmers.

If it was crowded it would have been a hassle but managing to grab 30 or so waves on a summer arvo exceeded expectations.

Webber shortie.

Same bank again this morning at 5.15am. Slightly bigger than last night, consistent 3 footers. Glassy with rain, 2 hour surf with plenty of waves to go around.

30 waves. Active surf.

It's raining. Just side stepped all rain drops coming back from getting a coffee.
