ha ha what ctd is talking about is a wash-out if you're constantly exercising

the poundings yesterday will have worked a lot of shit out of your muscles that otherwise might be crimping you today. Heaps of oxygenated blood washing through ya.

you don't get that predictable muscle soreness on cue unless you don't do much for a week, then suddenly do some unusual exercise.

what about stoke?

That must produce a few counter-vailing chemicals in the bloodstream.

endorphins? short term opiate-style buzz. why you feel so good physically after a surf in which you paddle hard and get pumped. not why you feel light and loose next day.

Health lunatics would be horrified to hear this but a couple of beers after a long and testing surf is very fcuking good for you.

- hydration
- complex sugars
- trace protein
- alcohol (converts to sugars)
- buzz (helps you feel even better)

Just eat some good food soon after that and hurray.
