Re: that wetsuit discussion...
I have a Patagonia wetsuit sheep, it's a 4/3 and it is very warm, stiff but weirdly comfortable. It holds you as if you were its little baby lamb. Not super hard to paddle but definitely tougher than a 3/2. It's a large yet has to work hard to fit my upper body which seems a little odd sizing-wise. Really strongly made though, anti-fragile like an XCel suit.

I've a Patagonia LS spring, bought on one of Surfstitchs rare as hens teeth 30% off things-actually-used-for-surfing-sales.
Doubt I'd buy one at full frieght RRP.
Second the motion they are a little less flexy, a lot warmer, and built to last.

I've got one on order. I'm a large short and Patagonia completely sold out of their yulex R1 (3/2) suits this winter in a few sizes.
I'll let you know what I think after a few surfs. I've been in ONeill steamers since I started surfing in 2008, this is the first time I've given another brand of steamer a go. Fingers crossed.

It's got a wooly liner and I needed assistance to get it off.
It's a M but it struggles to deal with my classical middleweight upper body.

Best we could afford were the $99 adrenalin 3/2 back zip steamers. They chaffed everywhere back in the day. Then due a lot of poor financial choices in the beginning of my navy days, i would only ever get bottom of the range quicksilver steamers.
I bought my first ONeill mutant second hand from a guy on the gumtree, tried it on in a side street in Potts point as all good kooks did back in the day. Fit like a glove and was crazy warm compared to the old back zip.
Once I experienced a good wetty, I've never skimped.

I had a blue and gold O'Neill in 1983. Go Parra. Think it was the Neck Chaffer 2000 model.
Am noticing a lot more Patagonias around. Saying that you could wear a 2 ml springy in Sydney today.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Last week I'd have agreed. I almost dusted off the 2x2 back zip it was that warm.
I really noticed the holes in my wetty today. I reckon it's dropped a degree or two since last week, won't be long before it bottoms out leading into spring.
