He's probably right. From what I've seen, Sandon point on the right conditions would hold swell as big as Lennox, and likely be gnarlier, but nowhere near as long and cosmic as Lennox.

You gonna be around early next week Steve ? I'll be passing by. Keen for a go out.

Sweet . I'm leaving early Saturday morning . Starting off around Forster/ tuncurry, then check out the mid north coast on the way up. Probably be in your neck of the woods around Monday or Tuesday . Back in Sydney early August so I've got a bit of time to burn. Packing a few boards

It was interesting in the Occ-Cast with Gordon Merchant with GM reckoning that in the 60's JBay broke wider because there was more sand because of the coastal dunes. He thought it is a faster, rockier break now. I think those dunes hadn't been fully built over until the last dozen or so years.

The old blokes at Lennox reckon there was exposed sand at the point in the 60s.

That's also stated in Endless Summer 2, foamy.

Owen can go straight up but also draw out his turns incredibly. He seems better at weight distribution than occy.

Poor old Leo finally won a heat and ran into Jordy hitting his straps. Jordy always seems to have a couple of funky heats at j bay but he's damn good when he is on song.

I was there for three days in 1964.
Absolutely no sand at the point just then.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Hey Nick, are there any black people in South Africa?
I've been looking carefully and can't see any!

I'm finding J-Bay a bit boring.
It's me, it's not you J-Bay.
I assume they don't take off from Boneyards because it a risky speed run with no chance to score points with major manoeuvres. I reckon the judges should say, if you take off from Boneyards, it's worth a point. Make it more exciting.

Steve, when the image has uploaded to imgur (can take a minute or two), hover over top right hand corner of pic and a down arrow will appear. Hover over that and select "Get share links"
Select BBCode (for forums). Copy and paste into your post.

Like this.
