So 16 second swell don't close out on beachies?
As hatchie was pointing out.....South facing beaches only cop the east swell at an angle compared to straight East facing beaches. A couple of rip bowls running into the shorey.

Another thread turns in to a battle of butthurt contest between some poor soul and the dictator of the forum, Mr Hatchnam.

 it's a total shutdown. There's uncontested waves off magic point though if you don't mind a small hike and grey nurse sharks
So when are you moving across to Vicco Hachie?

How so. What are you comparing it to. I live in a city of almost 7 million people. PI is coastal regional heaven. Good houses, cheap. Consistent groundswells. Tonnes of spots. Even works in southerlies. What are you on about.

It's an hours drive from Australias fastest growing city,
There a reason it is the cheapest real estate on the vicco coast, barring Portland of course,
Have you spent much time there? Do you like wind? Where do you plan to surf when you get those big winter swells?

Being only 90mins from Melbourne is a bonus.

Haven't spent "time" (never lived there) but surfed it a quite a bit (20 years ago mostly) and again recently.

If it maxes out if it's too big/windy, and nothing's working around the back of the island, then I'll scope out bass coast, or hit the road for bells etc.

The cup is half full, not half empty

Being a Pavel the single fin bit did raise a few suspicions but I still clicked like a frenzied monkey.
