Re: Rate your autumn
I'd have to say below average just because of the lack of consistency. When it was good, it was great, but there have also been too many small/wind affected days for me to call it a good Autumn.

Life-wise: B+
Surf-wise: F.
Had one of the best surfs of my life. Also tore a hip flexor and tweaked my back (separate events) so been out of the water almost the whole season.

A for me.
After missing most of Spring and all of Summer with a knee injury, I got back in the water in Autumn. The waves didn't matter.

6.5 out of 10. My back and shoulder are jacked up to the point I think I need physio or acupuncture, so it must have been not too bad.
Lots of fun waves and good banks.

AWE_fkn-SOME.
Newcastle and mid-north coast. Plenty of large swells, and plenty of good smaller days, winds often good. Seemed to be something around worth surfing most of the time.
A lot of good days coincided with weekends too, which was alright for the workers. I haven't been working so had the pick of it on week days.
Shit all over summer for sure.

Z, the only surf I had in march I got two waves, on both I had to nurse every turn ( not many ) because of tendonitis in my knee. Epic fail. Lasted two waves then did the paddle of shame and limped up to the car. No waves since then. Can pretty much guarantee winter will be the same.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Pretty poor, maybe a C- . Had a couple of great surfs in March and around Easter but almost nothing of interest for the last month.

Hmm northern beaches Sydney, ranked against autumns since 1973, 2/10
Like I've had some really fun playful surfs and feel really good about my surfing but I missed the only real swell of the period (morning Easter Saturday) and the rest has tracked down a classic piss weak pre-El Nino pattern so fcuk it.

Shite ... as the Brits would say
Trapped in a surfless capital
Home for a day
Working relentlessly whilst I'm away.
Thats right Carroll ... W-H-I-L-S-T.
Anyway heading back tomorrow for another three week stint.

Re: Rate your autumn
yeah, Easter Sat was the highlight.
That whole week was pretty fun. Classic east coast slightly bigger every day Pointsurf culminating in a day of days.
I also met Skip that day. He showed up the Point with a six pack of beer. Style is destiny.

Re: Rate your autumn
Easter at Crescent was definitely the highlight of the year surf wise.
Combed left beach break peaks with the hard south swell for the week with a solid last day at the point.
Fairly good run of small waves per that at the Eastern Suburbs favourite secret spot. Pretty crap now and Bronte would be about as bad as I've ever seen it.

You can wrap this one up now Shep ... its winter now.
I'm heading back to Brisneyland today for another 3-6 weeks ... so we can start this season like the last one ended ... up shit creek without a paddle ... barbed wire canoes and all.
The only upside is that for the past 2 weeks I've been back on the tools, pulling 12 to 14 hour days ... but starting tomorrow its watching painters and babysitting electricians.
Oh and theres a little takeaway shop just down the road ... its a Thai come Chinese come hamburger joint. Run by two fellas who really know their way around a wok ... they've been there for 27 years ... great tucker ... the salt and pepper squid rocks.
