Fantasy surfer comp

Post by tiger » Mon Feb 18, 2013 11:07 pm

The 1st instalment of the 2013 ASP world tour is nigh,

For those interested, I've created a Realsurf Fantasy surfer comp if you wish to partake.

I'm expecting the likes of Shearer, Lucky Al, Donweather, NC et al. etc.etc to attend. And you too Fong. You like to come across all anti-establishment, but we all know you're the biggest pro surfing whore out there. Besides it's gotta be more fun than that Fcuking farmville rubbish you play.

I am particularly calling out NC, in an attempt to expose him as a sham. Where is Jadson Andre now hey?! This is your chance to prove your chops.

Here's a link, it might work, I'm pretty crap with this stuff. The club is Realsurf Mongs. code is rs2013.

I joined. Try a 'realsurf mong' search SS. Then type in the password.

I'm a fantasy surfer virgin here.

So, what do I pick a team who I think going to make it the furtherest into the Snapper event?

Then for Bells, re-choose my team, or do I have the same team for the entire season?

hi tiges, nah, thanks for the invite but writing about contests etc is one of my jobs, it sorta feels weird to play these fantasy games around it. A bit like betting on contests, I can't do that either.

Braithy, you have a total of $50 million and you pick the best 8 surfers each event up to the total of $50 million. The value of the surfers changes after each event depending on their seeding after each event.

It's a good way to get into/excited about each comp. I've been playing under the Burleighcam club for the last 3 years. Count me in on the realsurf club.

Steve you have to register to play. Then you can go into clubs and join the realsurf one with the code etc.

I'm assuming you also compete individually with all the other registered users, I think there was something like 20,000 in last years. And they have some kind of prize for the winner.

Braithy you can change your team at anytime, bar during the waiting period of any event. Of course location/forecast have a bearing on this. But if you're lazy and forget to tip for an event, the surfers you had for the previous event stay as your team, so at least you don't lose your tips.

Come on NC just play under a pseudonym, we won't tell. I suggest "Lemon Nut-huggers", would be a good user name.

I'm done here, I'm going surfing.

Yeah but it makes it very hard to chose between Parko and Slater for your team this year.

Yeah the sites pretty clunky, it can take a few times to get things to work. Key is to be persistant.

Braithy, you're gunna be all over this like Grooter on a KFC Zinger burger. Speaking of Groots where is he, get on board Groots!

It worked eventually but had to try a number of times.
Don, I've found that these US sites are better on Chrome

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

You get 50 mil to buy a team of surfers for each event,
you get points for how far they get in each comp,
you can chop and change right up to the start of each event.
The value of each surfer changes dependent on form and world ranking.
watch out for injuries and guys who dont show for events (ie Slater  so have an alternate picked or you'll
get nothing for guys who drop out
Strategy: choose between a handful of top rated guys or a whole stack of cheaper "roughies" or a mix

Enjoy :)
