Sorry, no confusion meant.
The messiah is the common name for the professional surfer from California known as Dane Reynolds.
He has a website called Marine Layer and has posted up a 30 min movie of himself surfing.

MP, working on your vid as we speak.

Not to worry Turtle. Steve started off by frothing over a new offering on Dane Reynold's website and used his nickname, which caused some confusion. Images of Steve's lathered, sweaty body all worked up and being thrown around a room covered in plastic sheeting over this new video had others commenting on this. I half-read everything and started a tangent due to a reference to Steve's kettle, which I'd seen in a video he had posted through another thread. From there cooler heads began the difficult task of getting the thread back to a single, easy-to-follow topic.

We're kind of at the end of that last stage now.

This will also give you access to Steve's vimeo page and the videos contained therein. Here is a link to Steve's 21 videos, sorted by date:

http://www.vimeo.com/user1170977/videos/sort:date

I'm not familiar with the other vids, except an interview or two that Steve did in Tahiti. On the original topic, I have no idea who this 'messiah' actually is. KS or AI or DR or JC or NC or a Tahitian falafalafel, I dunno.
It all makes sense now...I think. Nice.
