Sheesh - I can't even strike up some controversy with my best porno-board. So worldly we don't comment...alas.

Out with the not so old in with the new ......................My newest addition.

Got a newy not so long ago , tried a few different things ......going 1/4 inch wider through middle and nose 1' inch through nose , it seemed to work quite well ...................except when waves got steeper then board tended to stick a bit .......too wide ! :?
So back to the dimensions I knew, with only very small adjustment in nose width and board thickness leaving width as is .
Lucky for me and my marriage I was able to off load my other to a obliging mate at mates rates (bastard). 8)

Anyrate this addition with its Single Concave all the way through has loads of initial speed out of the blocks ,really takes off. Very drivey through bottom turns . Added some PC5's instead of M5's which has tightened it up and gave it even more squirt . Still maintains its responsive as has a nice rolled deck in order to get that finer rail for its 2/1/2 thickness. Going up 1/4 inch through nose and slightly thicker foil up front was the right choice as paddling is still a treat.

Couldn't be happier ............cheers Josh ! :D

Nice board DV8, your strong endorsement of Josh and his other creations as posted and discussed on here resulted in me pulling the trigger and getting this little smoker. This is my step up for good waves...this little beast will be finding its way to indo ASAP....thanks so much Josh... cant wait to break some speed records with this beauty....will write up a report once I have put it to the test.

cant wait to read the report mate, would love to have one of these channelled boards on a clean hollow wave, I can feel the power already when driving off the bottom, my mouth is watering, maybe one day.

Looks like winner ! :)

I'm sure you won't be disappointed . Channels have never been my thing but the more I see things
like that little number the more I could be swayed down the track.

Hey Brand...

Yours is coming along down the line too. I'll be doing the stage you see in the sneak preview shape shots tommorrow - it's blowing my foofer-valve with the combo deck.

Thanks everyone for the appreciation.

How about a short couple of sentences describing the feeling of how a 6-shooter quad surfs? :)

Hey Capt, you asking me or Bohdi?

Mine is prettymuch what I aimed for, the proverbial fast and loose...

Hard to describe more...Y'know when you go for a snap late in a bowly section, the bottom falls out and you kind-of get pitched and catch a rail? I find the quad allows me to snap really tight, get back around and keep moving, avoiding that nasty bowl-out. Even swing a little hooky pump and use the bowl for speed.

I'm slower to my feet these days and I'm still playing with the fins to avoid those take-offs where the tail drifts.

In fact, there's so much going on with that quad o' mine...single/double conc, hips, diamond tail, channels, quad...I'm going back to school with next - and do me a pure old-school single fin so I can grow old gracefully. I need even more volume...I've been a long time coming around to accepting it. The quad might have to find a new home.

Nuff-o me but...

Brandons 6'6 - Triple "Springer" - I'm coveting this one muchly. It's...rather nice.

Hey DV8.

I wanted a widow maker originally but then also wanted a single fin and I wanted to be able to surf it from 4ft to 8ft. So Josh and I got talking and with his guidance we went for a bottom contour of single to double to spiral vee, flatish tail rocker, rounded pin, semi gunish rails, Josh could give more detail here.

I didn't want a full wood deck as I like flex in boards but still wanted some stiffness when I step up to 6ft + so the mix wood d-cell is the best of both worlds. I also want to ride it as a pure single in clean head high + surf.

The idea of this board is all about flow and style. No I'm not trying to emulate the soul man, I just love flowing power surfing and this board is all about that. Drive, power and flow. Plus smoothing out my kooky style.

All credit to Josh, I have the whacky idea and he takes what I say, tells me what works what doesn't and then builds something functional and amazing. Stoked! Hanging to surf it.
