I read in the local rag the other day he is back on the 'QS to give it a proper bash. IMO he was one of the most talented surfers I've seen when I've been out in the water.
Is it too late for him?? I hope not, I'd like to see him ruffle a few feathers of the sideways trucker cap brigade.

If youve ever seen Davo free surf which ive been fortunately been able to do since he was a grom youll realise that on any given day with his mind in the right place that he can beat anybody and he has proved that by beating Kelly twice.

From what i've seen of Davo, Scrooples, his best days were as a grom in the Search vids ten years ago. Sounds like discipline was never his thing as he got older....................or intelligence from the few occasions I heard him speak.

actually his best is not from ten years ago..he just blitzed them in Brazil a few weeks ago.
I reckon if Davo's in form he can beat anyone. Just ask anyone on the WQS tour and they will agree with me.

No offence to Hog, the guy rips, but when it comes to raw talent, Davo wins hands down. But you're right, commitment to the task at hand is another thing. Davo was never gunna be designing rocket ships for NASA, but hopefully he will realise that the time has come to pull the finger out and bash 'em.
Hog will come back due to tenacity, Davo could come back through shear talent.

Dont believe everything you read.The truth was that he was having an iced coffee at an Internet cafe' and some fat tourist on crack accused him of trying to take a keyboard when all he was doing was writing a letter to Greenpeace asking them how much money he should donate.

Great guy, needs more self belief and stay clear of bad influences. Chat to him in surf before he went Brazil, he had been labouring and did not like it much. That should keep him focused.
