An option has come up to move to Auckland for a 12 month contract. Checked spots on wannasurf but wondering what the life of the Kiwi surfer is like? Are the spots close enough for before and after work sessions if I'm working in the city? Or is it a weekend only gig? Any info would be helpful.

Raglan is one of the mellowest places I've stayed at.
Guy Fawkes' Night, the week after the Melbourne Cup at Papamoa. Bloody Jezabeel and Champagne. Keep the aussie accents down. I'll have a handle.
Good pool comp. Shitty waves at the time.
Kiwi's are OK. One of my sisters has become one.

someone from nz recently posted about how lucky surfers in sydney are. no idea if he was in auckland or further south.
just be careful that phillip ruddock doesn't change the citizenship laws while you're away and prohibit you from returning.
