Question for you fellas. Especially those in Queensland or close by.

Looking at spending a few months in Goldy. Is there a large difference between staying in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads? I know Coolangatta is more expensive but, just interested in the demographic, is there a rough element etc.

Help appreciated

If you are going to be surfing, stay in Cooly as you can walk to beach/surf and nicer cafes and restaurants.
Tweed if it is near boundary st and duranbah is good too.
The rest of tweed, not that it’s that rough and scary it’s just not that nice a holiday destination compared to cooly.

Tweed is all old people and hookers.
Cooly is much better.

Depending on the traveling party, Burleigh or Currumbin are better combination surfing/tourist destinations, for mine.

Kingscliff isn't too bad.

Around Kirra is pretty nice too. There's Tweed Heads and South Tweed, and they're definitely not the same. Tweed Heads comes up behind Kirra, so all isn't as it seems.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Yes, good call. But, for some inexplicable reason you lot can make a lot of sense as well.

Tugun up the Currumbin end could be a reasonable priced option.
But I like Cooly the best.
Something about Burleigh annoys me.
Too busy for what’s there.
Might be different if you’re staying there and just walk everywhere.

If you go just inland from Twin Towns - you can be a bike ride from D-Bah and Superbank and probably find somewhere soulful and cheap.

Same as Kirra as Yuke mentioned.

Nice spots closer to Tweed Hospital on the river, v. cheap but a few tweakers there.

Inland from Twin towns and short bike ride from the surf beaches that is ‘soulful’?
I’m stumped
