Had a ball today. Wind had swung onshore but wasn’t really blowing enough to affect the faces. Just a good size to spread the crowd across the multiple banks on offer.

It feels good to ride waves.
I don't think there is anything remotely close to it.

The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

There's also these things called books, and movies and the internet where you can understand about the experiences of others.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeah sure.
I always reflect on what my friend Owl Chapman told me in Hawaii one night.
I quote: "Ain't nothing like riding a cool, blue wave. Nuthin". No skiing, no mountain climbing, nuthin'. It's so sensual, so close to nature"
Waves are just a more incredible emergent phenomenon than snow on mountains, imo.
It's a richer sensory matrix.

The transient and unpredictable nature of them is what makes them different.

It does feel good. Most other things are man vs nature. And if you can’t appreciate that, I can’t help you other guys.

Skiing is fun no doubt. It’s rare that theres a bigger set of tools than surfers but, Skiers take the mantle.

I feel sorry for people who don't surf.
