Some arsehole hit me right in my arse crack with his longboard fin as he speared through white water into a crowd! Hurts like a mofo.

Then I got utterly fcuking slammed on a bomb wave that sent me back over the falls and buried me.

After that I decided to hang around the outside and get some dregs.

Crowds and skill is way higher than where I am from. It's taking some getting used to, my wave count per session has dropped considerably. Apparently lots of people have taken up.surfing due to COVID here - which would be on par with Australia

Localism is not too bad. Just words being shouted when someone does something stupid that they deserve to hear about. Funny thing about it is Californian accents sound kind of soft to me so maybe it's more intense than I think. Either way I try and stay out of trouble.
