To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

...on ball shaving?

Did a classic...just get one more wave this arvo. Got a few decent set waves for a quick arvo surf then went out for one more with the missus waiting on shore.......45 minutes later...paddled in after not catching another wave. :-?

She had actually gone for an attempted surf on the Shorey. She has had a couple of lessons lately and we brought the foamy. We were down with Junior in his car. So it was a few waves on the Point then a discussion about one more circuit which would have ended well as I got a bomb right through. That’s when the combination of dropping tide and after work crew changed conditions fast.
I’m curious that your missus wouldn’t wait for you, Al. Is that usual for you?

Yes, she never waits for me when I go surfing. Hardly even notices actually. I think she thinks it's just a silly game. Mum waits for me though, even likes watching me surf and taking pictures.

Well, a lot of Asian people don't make a point of hanging at the beach. My mates wife is Lao and she would avoid the beach at all costs when they were living in Bondi. Re: photos...the missus is notorious for pictures of me in the white water at the end of a wave.

Haha, Mum can take a decent one of me. Not video though for some reason she just can't work that one out. All in all though she and Little Baz are good surf trip companions. I'm always happy to have them come along if the surf's up down the road. I'll never forget December 2014 the reef was pumping and the wind howling and rain whipping around and off we went with Mum and Little Baz holding my board on the back of the motorbike, just a five-minute ride but still bloody hard work. Haha, love my Mum she's a ripper.

I'd have gladly relinquished an unremarkable outing amongst 100 or so 'surfers' in the lineup earlier - the better* of them being those leading animatedly with their right arm on their backhand - for a woman waiting patiently on the shore.

* I counted 3 bloodied heads, two flailing lost boardduetolegropebreak, 1 angryant, and a swathe of part men on pear shaped DHD's .

sounds like me on my mccoy nugget now i've got it wired. as you take off, it's all about staying tight in the pocket and loading up the back foot. from what i see of the gower peninsula and it's faceless mush burgers, it's probably the last board you'd want.

Seriously, you might hate them, but if you put a tail block on it
will add about 20% to the force you can apply to the tail.
