Santa Cruz tipped to hit 9 - 10 foot with a big NW swell on the weekend. Yee-haw!

I really need some advice, I have too many boards. I want to sell a bunch of 2nd handies. I'll sell 'em for almost nothing really, I just want to get them out of my head and into someone's hands who'll ride 'em a bit longer.

I tried to give a board away here (to crabmeat) and nothing happened, it was a real lesson to me in giving shit away, people just don't value it.

I don't wanna spend weeks fending off idiots on some crap selling site, I thought of just taking a pic of all the boards and saying "OK I'm selling all these at $50 a pop, I'll be at this location for x number of hours on y date, come and take your pick". Would that work do you think? Any ideas?

I can't see why that wouldn't work.

A kind of garage sale.

What happened to the freebie?

Braithy couldn't pick it up, or lost interest?

That would work, still be a PITA. The only other option to avoid the gumtree time waste is take ‘em to a board shop and put them on consignment.

I don't wanna do the consignment thing, Sydney board shops don't move second hand boards. I don't mind spending a few hours basically giving boards away to people, it might be interesting! I've just never heard of anyone doing it.

re braithy, I dunno what happened, the offer was there, he just had to organise a pickup or some such. I guess someone else will get it instead

Damn generous of you.
If it wasn't for the 'rona and the fact that the US is a virtual continental Moloka'i , I'd happily get a Sydney cousin to get one from you, Nick, and bring it up here.

gotta say, I've found the process of selling boards on Gumtree incredibly painless and met some really nice people doing it.

I'd love to look at your quiver NC, but I already know they'll be too small for the boards I like to ride.

wouldn't mind putting something special aside for my son though if he wants to run on with it.

Nick, offer them to a surf museum, they could well become an historical treasure

Not taking the piss Nick but how long are some of your boards, I might take one for my son....
