Godsave wouldn't be the first surfer to over-compensate for a tight swell window.
Steve, what’s your take on Lakemba’s swell window?

It’s always offshore.

I just stumbled across some quite interesting wave buoy data. steve can probably help you with the technicalities if you're struggling iggy.
Port Kembla, Australia:
- Mean Hsig 1974-2009 - 1.58m
- Maximum Hsig - 8.43m
Sydney, Australia:
- Mean Hsig 1987-2009 - 1.63m
- Maximum Hsig - 8.43m
South Pembrokeshire, Wales:
- Mean Hsig 1994-2014 - 1.63m
- Maximum Hsig - 11.0m

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

Is this the same data you used to give Steve reports on what’s happening in Ballina and Lennox?
And what of all those nasty comments all over the net about the narrow swell window? Just rumours to keep the crowds down
?

Oh, that’s kind of what the data is for, so you don’t have to rely on websites like mpora for your info. Shall I go through it slowly? Ok, so the top two buoys are your ones and they confirm what we all know - namely that NSW has a generally moderate wave climate averaging about 1.6m over the course of a year but with occasional storm events. Pretty much the same as here, actually, although our average is just that whisker bigger and our storm events are quite considerably bigger. I’ve got some kW/m wave power stats too if you’d like them. It’s not all bad news though. Your water temps are definitely warmer, which I know is very important to you

Got some pics of quality big Wales surf? Not llangenith or whatever it is with lines of whitewash breaking out half a mile, or that four foot slab that breaks once a year.

Wales vs. Australia for surfing supremacy. It’s a front runner for TOTY topic perhaps.

I see it as a question for each of the five finalists, sort of like what they do in beauty contests, after the swimsuit and evening gown eliminations of course. Iggy beaking in his evening gown would be hard to beat.
