It's a fun wave. Everyone is probably surfed out after the last swell.
Haha. No mate. Ive been here since Friday. Just this session was quiet.
For about an hour
You see ten to fifteen out there when it's dead flat. Lucky you got a break in the traffic. It was drop in city at Bondi on Sunday. Lucky I didn't get decapitated.
Ti Tree this morning.
Got plenty of waves despite the crowd.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

This is sounding like a dream trip, Cranked, that is if you don't get sick and die.
At least he died doing what he loves

Walked and paddled up to Lurches early yesterday morning. Chest high, irregular waves, calm and no-one out. Nice conditions though, the water was a warm bath, very light sprinkling rain, a few sunshowers, a dugong cruised by, a few fishermen in their usual brightly coloured boats.
After an hour so a light breeze came up so I paddled up to Temples. It glassed off again though, two others out, desultory little waves.
It rained all night and into the morning. Onshore at first light, but the bonus was that the rain cleared the air to reveal the magnificent spine of volcanoes that seemed to float above the ocean, and loomed over the narrow coastal strip. I could just see the Java coast but unfortunately not its eastern range of volcanoes.

Current Australian market value has 4 sheets worth a set wave at Outside Corner
Getting low at home. Went to the shop and laughed loudly at the empty shelves. Opposite side of that aisle showed no diminished supply of dog food. Man's best friend

There doesn't seem to be much awareness of Covid 19 in Bali, or on the plane over.
The number of Chinese tourists in Bali is normally about the same as the number of Australians, but there almost none now so that's had a huge impact.
I read that Bali does not have the capability to test for the virus, that's a worry.

It is a bit of a worry swvic. Maybe this is some sort of younger generational revenge on the boomers.

I went out at the peak yesterday. It was pretty bad when I checked it, but by the time I'd got my board and walked down it was worse. What-the-heck, I paddled out anyway for some exercise.
Didn't catch a wave, apart from proning in on some whitewater.
It stayed choppy, small and onshore all day.
Now I'm about to hit Nusa Dua, the land of sunshine, offshores and better swell exposure. It's a 40 minute ride, all on backroads.
Hang on, the heavens have just opened, it's pissing down.
Not to worry, I've got all day

Hadn’t surf for a while. Busy, cold, C-19 etc...
Every time there’s a sniff of a wave at Avoca the froth merchants cone out in force. It’s competitive. Not much fun but good for fitness and sharpening up surfing.

I generally check dbah after work on fridays.
I take a longneck and watch from the hill.
Only 80 out across the spread.
I’ve yet to surf there

I hate that place.
Always have.
Of course, it's not a longboard wave.

The waves look fun.
I can't deal with that kind of crowd though.
Been surfing good waves with only me and a mate out the last few surfs close to home.
Even if I can get waves, something about the crowd and the competing I just can't enjoy myself unless it's proper pumping point and you're competing for genuine gold. And then I still hate it.

Haven't surfed Dbah in 30 years.
Surfed Burleigh on New Year's Day morning 5 years ago. Not too crowded but a bit full.
Currumbin the same week. Rip was insane.
Crappy Snapper the same trip.
Angourie on the way up and back.
Not a great deal of desire to battle the crowds up there anymore.
There's a lot of less crowded quality waves between here and there.
Put your big boy pants on
I mean, tastebuds? WGAF?
