Re: Where did you surf today ?
What I would call 6 to 8 at Tama. Big crew with some good looking lefts in between some big close outs. Out of my league.

Well it’s still solid. Thought it looked about 4 foot, casual paddle out till a set of 6 foot plus cleaned up and washed me way down the beach.

Island in the morning, back reef. Was shifty and a bit chunk.
Lakey in the afternoon on a left that's been formed from the lake mouth bursting open and scouring a bank for a week. Finally a good bank! Skank water though.

Avoca this morning. Some were saying 6-8. Dunno but big, brown and busy.

….this was pushing off the wall not diving in.
...running out of breath underwater hasn’t been an issue. Not too bad for a 62 y/o who surfs irregularly.

In a swell like this from the east it’s fairly tide dependent, BD. Was that photo you posted Sunsets?black duck wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 9:30 pmThe sweep at snapper looked like hell this afternoon on the cams while this morning it seemed non existent.

Then drove south and surfed a reef in Kiama. Bit wonky but plenty of size and chunk. And just surfed Cronulla the alley on the way home. It’s dropped off to four foot now. Storm brewing from the south

Yeah, it seemed largely a well timed paddle off the rocks followed by hopefully a big one that didn't close out. Then in to the beach for the end of the session or another curcuit. A few stuck it out for a session of three or four.

So just like normal then
Had a grovel at Bondi. Caught a couple. Heaps of logs and branches on the beach and the odd branch floating around in the line up.

Lakey lefts. It's fcuking pumping. Swell swung more s/e and kicked up. Solid 4ft plus ground swell, no wind glass. Just had a 3 hr session. I'm fcuking cooked.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Awesome BD!! Can't wait to get down there on a couple of weeks. Hopefully the bank holds

Nothing so exotic thudster. Just the spot we call Lakey down the coast because it’s in front of the lake mouth.
Waves were like Indo though. Haven’t seen it like that for maybe 10 years.

I spent a month at Lakey Peak around 1983, there was just one losmen, no village, nothing else, about 5 in the water.black duck wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 8:25 pmNothing so exotic thudster. Just the spot we call Lakey down the coast because it’s in front of the lake mouth.

Went back about 10 years ago, there was way over 100 surfers staying there.

Looks like it is getting better and bigger, amazing looking lines coming through down here. I'm on child duty and am trying not to be distracted and grumpy
