Not sure Wyre. Will be trying if there’s waves but will be considered a bit of a cnut if I do.Wyre wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:49 pmToday was outrageous. Headies at dawn on the high, 2-3ft and glassy, a cool mix of surfers and bodyboarders getting into it. As I drove home I checked my local and the north end was looking like a little indo reef break left, so I jumped straight out again for an hour. Unreal!
Hasn't stopped breaking all day. Can hear it now, still some gas in the tank.
BD, you gonna be down over the long weekend? Might be heading to don hearn's
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I won't be there after all, end of feb for me. Love the water temp down there at that time. Almost the warmest it gets I reckon.
Don't be a cnut BD. stay in town... or is it gonna pump down there?

It pumped yesterday after the storm went past, it turned offshore and blue skies but I’d already left. Pumped again this morning too, clean 4ft peaks. Been receiving rub-it-in texts today.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went for a flounder this morning before it got too hot. Currently 42 degrees. Ended up finally scoring a solid peak with a good drop. Stoked.

Nice one beans,
I'm going loopy with these northerlies. Of course, I've had an extended period of excess spare time over the whole course of these predominant northerlies the last 3-4 months so I can really make the most of them.
Should have taken up kiting.

A bit of mal work on the Central Coast. A small bay with little pealers. Funny how many people don't know where the Central Coast is. Haven't been up here in yonks.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Haha. Yep.
Might have told this story but I was on the Central Coast one time for work. Pulled up on the beachfront at Shelley Beach for lunch. I'm sitting there munching on fish and chips from the little kiosk and my phone rings. It's one of the call centre women in Melbourne.
She wants to know what the noise in the background is. I tell her it's seagulls. Then I explain where I am and what I'm doing.
I got "I fukcing hate you"
Then, "click".

I’ve had three people from the central coast this week give me a disclaimer and describe its location and i just say, yeh I know where it is.

Cen’y coast peeps charters are the gnarliest, by far.

If you’re single and want a partner, move to cenny coast. Heaps of hot chicks and desperate for dudes.
Waves are better and less crowded than Sydney too

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Hey, I live there (Avoca). Where are these chicks you speak of? All I see are leather backed chain smokers with bad ink at Erina Fair.....oh they’re the birds you’re speaking of. I see.
But agree with NPL on the youngens. Seen some heavy party time going on when passing the Beery on occasions. And mostly young women!!! They don’t give two hoots about whats what.
Yeh waves not crowded bar Avoca Point and Copa point when working then forget about it. Avoca a bit of a close out but good options around.

….this was pushing off the wall not diving in.
...running out of breath underwater hasn’t been an issue. Not too bad for a 62 y/o who surfs irregularly.

We used to hang up here every holiday for many years. Haven't been back in ages. Went for a walk around The Entrance this arvo. What the Fcuk. It was always a bit cheap and cheerful. Now it's half boarded up and looking like something out of Hillbilly Elegy.

Central coast = single mum central
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Robert Barrett agreed. Set the odd Les Norton up here.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yes, not the best. Popped up because the local rag said there was a weekend market. Bloody terrible joint. Market was like a bad dream with carnival folk in it.Beanpole wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 9:37 pmWe used to hang up here every holiday for many years. Haven't been back in ages. Gosford station, saw a knife point robbery a few weeks back. Ice is big.
The central coast is huge. There’s good and bad. Some quite good but some real bad.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The Bata Bay skatepark is probably the best in the state, central coast has got that going for it.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I’ve heard Narara has a goody too
