My modern board is 5 years old or so it is a 9foot 1
Robert August board shaped and by Sean wilde, tri fin FCS system, prefer no leg rope

my old mal is a reconditioned as in we scraped the brown house paint of a 1964 Barry Bennett board D fin, looks great

10'6" Jimmy Lewis. Clear. Noserider, concave.
10'6" Jimmy Lewis. Browny green with aloha print inlay at nose.
Leg rope definitely. Don't like to swim across coral reef at low tide.
All reef breaks.
Stylin' n Profilin'.

Single fin.
Fins: Stock Dane W, Fluid Foils Hatchet, FF CHopper depending on wave size.

on the wish list? too many to mention. All custom.

Shaun Wilde
Cooperfish
mctavish
Yater

next board ( realistically)
a 10' triple cedar-stringered single fin by Link Pasco/Volare Longboards

I ride a 9'4" tube time. I haven't taken too much notice of it's measurements as my wife won it for me in a raffle a couple of years ago. She said it was going to be used as a coffee table. Prior to that I was riding a 9'6" log that was built for someone far heavier than I. Was great for catching everything in sight, but not hugely responsive. The first mal I had, I found at the dump in a less than rideable state. About 10' long 19" wide and 3" thick, narrow nose and tail, but fun in 4-5' waves. It didn't like being riden near the nose.
I think that my style is a mix of both new and old. It tends to depend on the wave I recon. I like to ride a variety of waves, but will avoid a spot called 3 poles like the plauge. Mostly it's small waves, so the traditional style is more condusive.

I also have: (these are all my old boards)
9'4 McTavish Fireball
9'4 Ian Goodaker mal- it's good for point setups but bad for the average sydney beachie... (i won it in a raffle at the Mal De Mer)
9'6 Steve O'Donell Tradtional Single fin
9'3 Steve O'Donnell Performance

and i have ordered
9'2 Steve O'Donell this is my competition board and its gonna rip!!!

Although full marks to I like gulls for the board he found at the tip. Reminds me of the vintage bill wallace that my brothers and I found in the garden of our parents house. Unfortunately we were too young to appreciate what we had and rode it into the ground. Ohh, well good way for a board to go I suppose.

any other classics that have come out from under the house?

My 8'1" apparently isn't a true longboard. Oh well. Bondi Longboards or something.

Also a 6'8" McCoy Nugget which is going to be replaced with a 6'6" nugget soon.

Also a 6'10" Doc Lausch shortboard

I picked up a 9'2" Town & Country out of the Manly Daily from a guy at DY after finding that the San Juan 8'1" was about 10 metres too far in to compete for waves at Longy and I would have to say that it is one of the best boards I have ever owned. I keep looking out for a new one but as I am having a good time the need is not there. As for old boards my brother in-law Phil the Philosopher has a couple of very used and well ridden Hot Buttered boards shaped by Terry Fitzgerald in the shed of the Mother In-law. A classic single fin pin tail about 6'2" and a thick square tail I think around 5'10" with the original rainbow logo. Both need work but still a part of history.

Buzzy,
sent you a message but not sure how this thing works
You interested in selling your 6'8" nugget when you get the 6'6"?
