Sweet looking board mate. With all that advertising on the bottom, the YouTube clip and this post I hope Grant gives you a discount on your next board!

Looks like a cracker board.

Looking forward to a ride report in a few months.

That's the shortest subX I've heard of.

Personally,at that length, I hope you don't regret not getting the quad find option. :|

Yeah its definitely sweet. I've got a 5"11 f skate quad. I think this will glide nicely with the large single. Grant says he has one the same size, his favourite board!

Is yours the 5'11 with the orange rails and the retro miller paint job that was posted a few years ago with the TC Aqua line quad fins?

They're an interesting board, ugly as hell but gaining quite a following.
I noticed a guy called Mark Ogram in WA makes a range of boards very similar to Grant's range.
There is an uncanny resemblance between Grant's SUB-X and Mark's "Kelvinator"
Two guys of similar age on opposite sides of the country with very similar board design philosophies.
Don't know if the bottom contours on the two boards are similar. I remember talking to Grant about the SUB-X, he said the bottom was quite complicated and a pain in the arse to shape.
I've got a couple of Millers, and I'm heading down to Dunsborough tomorrow to pick up a 2nd hand Ogram "Wahoo"

Hey Jet,
Yeah that's me with the Retro f Skate ☺. I thought I would go the other way with the SUB X, as it looks sort of old school and most the sprays I had seen where that way inclined. So I thought I would do my best to make this one look a bit more 'post modern'. It's just aesthetics really as the board will obviously perform the same no matter what colour and stickers.
MULLET, your right in that is does look similar to the Ogram Kelvinator. I did look at that board as an option but am a Miller convert for sure. The buttom contours on the board are indeed complex and its obvious there is a lot going on in very subtle ways, all working together.
I'm also going to get a larger FCS 8" Fatboy fin, with the big bulb on the end of it. So when the conditions are right I can use it soley as a single fin to get some flow and try hang some cheater 5s or 10s☺
