I fondled the new Tyler warren twins & the new Chippa Wilson & NPJ twins today, both look the shizzle. If I was looking for a set of twin fins for an RTT for example, I d be all over these like a raped ape: https://captainfin.com/collections/twin-fins

Worthwhile trying as a twinnie? Would need some fins- consensus to forgo keel type and go for a more upright fin?

Batoes any tips on who to buy from? <:

:D

I think those salty merchant electric keels would be pretty sweet - half MR half Rasta keel. Sounds like twin fin breeding heaven. Or any of the new captain fin sets - they have brought out a stack.

I have no recommendations on where to buy anything...wonder if you can get fins on the dark web?

Beautiful looking fins at salty merchants
but It's annoying that they don't give the dimensions of the fins

I suspect the Chippas are very close to the MR twins
here's the dims
Base: 148 mm
Height: 149.5 mm
Foil: 80/20
Construction: Solid glass
Fin Cant: 4.5 degrees

yeah those chippas have wide tip - like NPJ's quartet fins.

Rode the CV2 in shoulder high sucky waves yesterday. It liked it.

Rode it in smaller weaker waves today, eh not so great. Really needed to paddle hard and my pop seemed a bit laboured in the weaker and slower stuff.

Hardly surfed it backhand but gee it was nice yesterday. Stable and fast and lots of control.

As long as the waves got a bit of grunt or especially a bit sucky the fccckn thing lights up

Anyone interested in a 6'2 x 20 1/2 x 2 1/2 CV2, been surfed but in pretty perfect condition. No stringer with carbon rails.

6'2 x 20 3/4 x 2 3/4 - I am 95kgs and it floats me fine, it's a great board as is the CV2. Bit more meat then the cv2 but not really chunky like an old school fish. I just don't surf enough these days to warrant all the boards and have a Pavel twin fin to fill the twinnie hole.

Again, is the stringerless with carbon rails...

Cheers, I'm 5'9" so that's a bit long for a keel fish for me, I like them head high or less. I'm sure it'd go quick on gumtree etc
