Midlengthless at the moment. But next will be a Outer Islands Mondo or a DVS All Rounder
Outer islands 7"10 midlength in immaculate condition for only $700 ((retails for over $1500))

It looks like it's more geared up for overhead down-the-line reef and point waves than anything. Maldives board for an older bigger bloke

If it was 1/2" wider I'd be very keen.

Beautiful.....but I wouldn't really go that minimalish. 7'6" max......prefer about 7'.
I ride that 7'11" size as a go to for Bondi but I wouldn't be minimaling in decent surf. I'm sure it would impress however. Ditch the tailpD straight away.

Geez that moonraker looks and sounds similar to Maurice Cole metro with swat tail.....

Old mate heath looked a bit wobbly on it I reckon.

Ok I'm selling the Outer Island. The tail pad does not look that bad in the flesh! I put it on plus versatraction to protect the deck. Only selling is I have two others & need the funds. Had a few offers but a few no shows - hate that! $700 this is a steel & am now having 2nd thoughts on selling. Might offload a timber tech lost fish 6'2 instead.

Super fast & turns on a dime. They are so well made plus they are not machine shaped so they are a bit special me thinks. I also have a 8 & 8'6 flex tail so a 7'10 is a bit of a cross over. Works in 2ft but really comes alive 3ft plus

looks horrible

he's linking turns on his backhand well but why is it bobbling on every bottom turn? They're not even deep bottom turns either.

Bobbling.......this is too advanced terminology for me.

watch the video. during bottom turns on his backhand the whole front half of the board is bouncing around. It does it nearly every time, and on the rights too you can notice it a bit.

skip to 1:03 and watch the front half of the board

Yeah he makes great boards, so what?

doesn't mean that board isn't spacking out when it's put on rail.

this is what Heath says:
I think at first I was trying to drive through my turns the whole way, but then I realised I didn’t have to push as hard. When I realised to take a bit of pressure off and guide the board, I could set the rail, and it would keep its speed and it would feel amazing. I was loving it.

so it doesn't work that well doing tight turns into the pocket. it doesn't want to go vertical. It sounds like that aspect was compromised for drawn out speed lines, which is fine, whatever, but a six foot board that doesn't like a deep driving bottom turn is a little queer.

Despite my praise I did notice it looked a bit awkward at times, but I assumed the rider may not have really dialed it in yet... plus I thought I better not attack another shibboleth after just dissing Taylor Knox riding a bonzer in the "bonzers.....the quad fad is over" thread.
