If anyone has a hard on for a Christenson flat tracker 2.0 shaped by Chris (as opposed to ghost shaped) I have an 8'er I have ridden all of 3 times with a sweet fcs whip connect 8' fin for 1K.
My bad lower back prefers the looseness of twinnies.

Iggs, there is a 7'0" Mctavish Rambler on FB that looks like it would float your boat. 2+1 channel bottom.

Just so you know I’m serious about this custom tootr, I’ve just finished stripping the wax off five boards. Five

Just some very minor touch ups needed on an couple of them, a drop of resin here, a buff there, and I’ll start placing adverts for them.

Up for grabs will be..

6’2 hi perf twin
6’4 single fin
6’3 eighties belly channel thruster
6”10 hybrid mini gun 2+1
7’6 mini mal

At this point, don’t have an exact idea of what I’m getting, and will be discussing with mike. Basic requirement will be a step-up 2+1 that’ll still be fun in small peelers, but maul a 6-8 foot groundswell, reefs and beachies. Early roll ins, or late drops, high speed carves, and handles steep lines are a must. And it’s gotta be able to snap high and tight, hit the lip, not just glide along on the trim line. So far, his wide point forward model looks promising, although I also love my mark rabbidge 6”10 which is a double ender with the wide point midway.

Nup. By the time I’ve hocked the above, I’ll still have four including the new custom.

8 foot gun stays. For the once every couple of years it gets dusted off. The old early 70’s single fin pintail stays, because it’s awesome. And will still have a 6’2 thruster shorty

I at least want backhand snaps out of it. On my rabbidge 6”10 I can, easily.

With enough curve in the outline and enough entry and tail rocker I can’t see why it’s a big ask, even with a longer rail line.

I want a board that’ll surf big waves like they’re smaller waves. Not just “hang on” but actually surf them.

I’m thinking length wise no longer than 7”0, maybe 6”10 even

well, you're going to need some area in the tail and a more fins forward cluster for that.

Yep, that’s what I’ve been thinking. Diamond tail and move the fins forward a bit. And maybe have the 2+1 set up more like 40/60 ratio instead of 30/70 (a bit more towards the thruster end of the scale)

The only thing I’d say Mike P is that he doesn’t make a lot of 2+1’s. Sure he’ll make you one, no doubt. Wonder if his thought process has changed after pumping out all those Bonzers.

Same as most I looked at that WPF model and thought “2+1” but it wasn’t his inclination to shape and configure that way.

Be interested to hear what he has to say if you fancy sharing HM.

In your standard widowmaker cluster, are the sides in a similar position, as well as toe and cant angle that you can just put those box thruster fins in and surf as a thruster if you want?
