Guess it depends on the quartet. Obviously feet over the quad set-up gives you a whole heap of real power through your turns and loosens things up. My current quartet needs a bit more backfoot over the cluster as it has the round tail and is nearly elliptical in shape. My old one was much more front footed and had a rounded square. I think the wide point was well over half. Therefore, it felt very smooth with the narrow stance from the centre. My current is far more performance orientated and doesn't need the narrow stance as much. If i got another - and i would, but am happy with the one i have, i would go with rounded square, centre forward groovy thing. Really enjoyed it.

Picked up a quartet designed for 1-4 ft waves so it's was a nice time debuting in this weeks offerings. My last one was a lot more refined, this one is a bit chunkier and wide point a little more fwd than the other with a rounded square, result is a super fun smooth board that is fast. As Batoes said somewhere bit of a groove machine.

i really like them with a flatter rocker and more v through the tail - they are insanely good like that.

I priced a cherry 2+1 at Hookopuu the other day.

Clean white board: $1350.

That's out of my range.

Could get one built here for less than half.

They have them on the cenny coast at Adrift - a coloured board was 1100. A clear would be less. How does it compare to a Bonzer - for price and then for functionality?

Neals such a nice guy as well, half the pleasure of his boards is dealing with him. I reckon you would really enjoy talking to him Steve.

Couldn't you suggest a favourable write up in the Freeride Steve to bag a bit of a discount... ?

Had a fun surf on my Quartet today, this version feels a lot more like a twin fin ( used to have a Mega Twin) sort of snakes along kind of bouncing from one place to another in the wind effected arvo waves, lots of fun, actually seemed a bit better in slightly chopped up waves than clean fast ones.
