Is your 6'4" the one on his Insta now? Olive bottom white deck? Looks sweet asHatchnam wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2017 6:11 pmAsked for full gloss when I emailed the order, but it didn't come up again in conversation yesterday. I'm not too fussed either way. Happy for him to do as he sees fit. The wet rub looks great too.
Can't wait to see it finished. He's got some seriously nice boards on the racks. Clean lines. His instagram account has lots to look at

Re: Single fin shortboards
Does look fast, nice thin tail for cutting like a surgeon
Re: Single fin shortboards
Some more pics. But early for a proper ride report yet but so far it feels pretty sweet. First go out was in overhead but average wind affected beach breaks. Soon gave up on that and hit the point. Much smaller but still fun. Got a few nice cutbacks happening. Holds a steady line and feels crisp and precise when you put in on rail.tomorrow I'm gonna hit national park for proper go at it.

Re: Single fin shortboards
Lovely rail. What's the edge like leading down towards the tail, sharp or curved?
Re: Single fin shortboards
It's low, rolled. Bit of an edge to it but Nothing too sharp. The overall rail on the board is fairly thin-blade like but not sharp edged if that makes sense.

Re: Single fin shortboards
Yeah it does, looks like it would love a driving bottom turn. Keen to hear more.
Re: Single fin shortboards
Looks like a really good quality finish hatchy, you must be stoked

Re: Single fin shortboards
Look forward to seeing this one in the flesh Hatchnam. Got a solid case of man flu so it won't be this swell unfortunately.

Had a chance to surf it? How does it go?

Re: Single fin shortboards
It's great. Blue ribbon board for blue ribbon waves. Haven't had the chance to fully put it through its paces yet. But have had it in quality points and reefs and some very clean walled up beachies - all up to about four foot.
It's not a top to bottom board, doesn't like fat waves. Absolutely loves a clean down the line wave with some push and a bowly pocket. Feels super steady, cutbacks feel smooth as silk. The less effort, more relaxed you are, and more subtle you surf it the better it responds. It forces you to strip down any superfluous movement and really focus on the wave.
I'm looking forward to getting it out at sandon and waves of that ilk, in the five foot plus range to see what's up.
