it looks like my favourite hot buttered kneeboard from the early 80s has been reincarnated in wood.

...would work well as a kneelo.....I had a mate , keen kneeboarder, who exclusively rode G&S short twin-fins prone,,,,,,,swore by them actually !

I just bought batoes dim sim

Farkin fun this morning - Little waist high reef peelers sometimes tending towards close outs. I had the big wooden fins in and it held and went like a freaking rocket down the line. Couldn't really turn the farker off the top, or bottom properly - certainly too much fin. I reckon the smaller glass keels are going to be the ones for me. But it was still hilarious fun.

Missed having a mini since I had the traveller .........but now i've got one again - I'm definatley a convert.

Ha - not entirely sure actually . I thought the traveller had a teeny tiny bit too much float for me, but this one is maybe a bit under. It doesn't glide on flat water as good as the traveller, so paddle outs are certainly a bit more effort, also I'm a fair bit taller than batoes so am finding this board is easier to get too much of my weight on the tail or nose and sink/dig the front rail in

Had some cracking waves on it, but also heaps of fails. I reckon I need to go bigger .

Anyone want to buy a 5'1?????

think this one is also a 5'4", I like the fabric inlay on this one, added strength under foot, only where it needs it.... close up it looks like woven Bamboo...., now just apply coconut scented wax and you can almost kid yourself you are in a Pacific Island paradise, oh no I'm not, its very crowded shitty waves on school hols....

I now officially have a 5'1 Dim Sim for sale - it's not quite enough beef for my 6'0 77kg frame in smaller waves. Someone shorter or maybe a little bit lighter should be fine. It's goes ballistic on waves with push....but thats not really why I want one.

It's batoes old board, and in fantastic condition. The sooner someone buys it, the sooner mark can make me one. For realsurfers I'll do the same great deal batoes did.....$350 with two sets of fins. I'm in sydney.

Just to follow on from Tophers post - I also have my 5'6" mini simmons for sale for exactly the opposite reason, as I got a bit carried away and made it with too much foam for my 76kgs!! (Really fast and fun when up and riding, but I just cant get it under a wave and end up getting battered).

Its 5'6"x 21 1/4 x 3 1/8, about 49ltrs according to Aku Shaper. Would suit someone in the 85-100kgs range.
Professionally glassed by the guys that do the Webber boards, with FCS keels. Is about 2 months old.

$250ono. Can deliver to some NSW Sth Coast locations, possibly Sydney. Happy to pack if you want to send.

Its a relatively new method Topher , and they wont be too expensive either......no restrictions on design or length , and far more durable than yer standard surfboard......built to last mate !....Australian grown plantation timber and all Aus materials.
