haha 777, wat like 0.5 foot? okay lets rate needledicks on a epic rating of 1 to 10. i would say needledicks is about a 4 whereas sic would be a 8-9. needles is a piss ass reef that cant even hold shit unless every variable is spot on. fuk off back to ur beachies and stay away, weve got enough koooks as it it

Lambert your not even a local so shut up you kook. I'll admit I don't charge reef as hard as some of you boys go on about here but I reckon I could still take it on a 2-3ft day.

Shark island is very fun when it is about 3-4 foot s/s/e swell. It barels from one side of the island to the other. I probably should post this in the Your Best Barrel - describe it thread

We're providing the official forecasts for the event, and I'll probably have something up later today (with some luck). However, the waiting period is a month so it's impossible to know if we're looking at a large ENE swell early-mid July (which is what we're all hoping for). At this stage, aside from the current building S'ly swell, there's nothing of major interest in the long term outlook.

An ENE swell?? You sure you dont mean ESE Ben?

While ridable in an ENE swell, the Island is much better in SE swells. Can be ridden from white rock, hits surge better, more predictable and, dare I say it, safer.

The July 2001 swell was ENE and while it made for good footage, would have been absolutely epic Island if it had a touch of S in it.

Perhaps Fordy is praying for a swell with a bit of N in it for the spills and wipeouts. Keeps the spectators and sponsors happy.
