fin/flipper design

Post by marcus » Mon Mar 01, 2004 3:11 pm

anyone noticed that with all the expensive flipper brands out at the moment, they all have the logo on the top of the flipper?
to me this doesnt have any function at all, and fluid dynamically seems like unnecessary drag.
why dont the makers of fins/flippers put the raised logo on the bottom, at least it will provide grip when walking over slimmy rocks.
just an idea
cheers

ok, yeah i get your point, but why is it there in the first place?
why not on the bottom for grip when treading rocks, as i said?

im an engineer, im supposed to think of these things, and i cant see any reason why they all do it.
