I am a big fan of who really cares as well, what is the point of defining what is and isn't a shortboard, there will always be exceptions to any rule/size/logic put in place, but really, what does it matter? are you not cool as soon as it is deemed you do not ride a short board, is it a reflection of your skill that you can't ride a toothpick? at the end of the day defining what a shortboard is definitively is very inconsequential
