That was something pretty smart that Hayden did to generate cash flow. Get the punter to pay upfront and then guarantee a shorter turnaround. His ghost shapers can have a board pumped out pretty quick while he is on the other side of the world in USA, and then it's the glassing that takes a bit more time. The whole operation is run fairly tight, under the one roof I think from machine to glassing.

It is possible, I ordered a custom hypto from hayden shapes which took 13 days to arrive at my door.....in perfect condition and the exact dimensions that i had ordered.

Dont get me started on shapers who disregard requested dimensions coz they know better, arrogant feckers

It might be good advertising for the shaper via her Surfinstruction business.

So let me get this straight - she's a raw beginner from a (for all intents and purposes) waveless, landlocked country here on a working holiday. She's not athletic and too old to ever be able to surf properly. She's hoping to get a board from possibly one of the better shapers in the country, an underground guy who doesn't even shape boards for money and knows more about shaping than most people will ever know. You don't choose him, he chooses if he wants to shape for you. And she's going to get a board from him? The world's not fair.

Yeah, that and all the other shit that gets in the way of getting in the water. For example, by the time I could go last Sunday, wind had gone east. I fcuking went in anyway and it was shit. Hopefully, get the new board out this weekend.
