Bomborra you wouldn't ride with trailer, how come?

Just personal preference. Only ride it to head high faces and love the free wheelin' feel. I'm pretty light footed and front footed too so guess that has something to do with it. Just seems faster too, ha!
Used to put the trailer in sometimes when a bit bigger but lost one of the smaller MR TFX fins when the FCS tab on the inside rail blew out, and could only find the bigger MR 78 fins for replacement. That's a lot of fin area with a trailer added. Bigger fins and that thinly foiled swallow tail doesn't make it super slidey, at least in smaller stuff.

I used to have one, was a chunky board back in the day, not so now, I really liked it but mainly surfed with the trailer, good here the other side.

El rancho, I saw your little fish in the other thread, she is a ripper! I really enjoy mine when it's 3-4ft with a higher tide (the flattish rocker gets rather dicey as the tide drops out). It gets to a certain speed then the lift kicks in & it feels like a hover craft, I then start drawing lines I wouldn't usually take which is crazy fun. I have futures & use the aipa twins

Mate's got a supertwin. Different to the rest of MR's twins. Narrower and less nose. More rocker I think. Almost a classic thruster shape but with twin fins. My mate's is amazingly fast. Likes some curve in the face. Really hi per fast fast board for good waves. He keeps the trailer fin in all the time. The few times I got to ride it loved it backside.

I think you've just helped me understand my reservations. I'd like to get a shapers comment here, but yes, fin in middle of channel seems odd. Like it would want to track straight and turn at the time. Making the board pivot like nyyyyyuuuuughhhhh !!

IMO You dont need channels on a twinny, whatever u decide tho my suggestion would be get something with futures. Then u can choose between keels, aipas or T 1"s, AMT robbers etc

Thanks I saw that but it's too short for this ape. And have also exhausted everything on gumtree at the moment . 6'0 is as small as I'd go.

i would love to... i really really would love to. and if i did, i'd get the 6'2 x 20 7/8 x 2 5/8

but i wont. these days i'm a total scrooge when it comes to spending on boards.
300 hundred is my absolute limit and i almost always buy 2nd hand boards off gumtree.
self inflicted discipline until i pay off my mortgage.

Yeah, I've got some great boards off Gumtree.......and Happy Hockers on occasion. Plus sold boards there as we'll. pisses on surf shops.

actually alakaboo... now i'm not quite sure about why the fin in the middle of the channel would be an issue... a quick google image search shows that to be fairly standard.. ?
