I'm tempted to get psillakis to do one up for me .
5 fin bonzer egg. Roundtail. @ 7'0 x 21 x 2.5/8.
That'd be pretty fun in a lot of conditions.

These guys over inflate their prices significantly...always have. Then again - some must be stupid enough to buy them because they come in and out all the time.
Why don't you wait for Malcolm to come out and make you an egg - I hear September, but you never can tell.

I've sold some second hand boards there and yep people will pay the coin. I am always astonished what I get. I only have clear boards but the additional dosh is always about the colour, something I'll never understand.
I had a 6'8 Bonzer Egg 20 3/4 x 2 3/4. Loved the rails on that board.

excellent quality - i had an octafish shaped by mike and glassed by Rhino - that said, the board didn't work for me, but that had more to do with how i ride them. I couldn't get any size fin to work in that board. My MLV, BB and Russ - all shaped by Malcolm, work really well. No quality difference in the boards at all.

Thanks mate. I reckon I've got a year or so on longer boards before I can surf my 2 small jds and its possible I might not be able to surf them at all, if that happens I reckon a mid length bonzer egg would be sweet

yeah i would get an egg - but my MLV is very egg like and i really enjoy the three-fin variety. If you ever want a session on any of mine, let me know - they'd all float you for sure.

Cheers mate, will do.
What do you find the difference between the 3 and 5 finners?

I find the five fin bonzers have much greater hold through turns. I have spun out quite a few times on the MLV even with a 7 inch fin, but I can get away with a 6 inch fin in my pintail russ short because there is so much fin area in a smaller tail. That said, you also get a sharper turning radius with the five fins - the mlv is quite drawn out. All of this has to do with the plan shapes also. But i enjoy the feeling of gliding through turns, but still holding speed and that's what the MLV does. The BB likes to surf in the pocket with lots of snaps at the lip. Both those boards compliment each other nicely in the right conditions.
