I swear im a retard... What could cause this

So i've been surfing for about 5 years now.. Not extremely intensly but you know go out 1-2 times a week if i can.. The last two times ive been out though ive been getting up in the regular position instead of goofy (naturally im goofy footed) i don't know why ive been doing this and dont mean it and whenever i think of standing up goofy i just fail and end up standing up like an idiot and falling.. Any idea what could cause this.. Standing up regular just doesnt feel right and im more at home being goofy like with ever other board sport i do...

Thing is ive been surfing Goofy for ages and it feels right.. Only recently have i been popping up against my will in a regular stance.. Just shits me.. Like today was down at Pt leo.. Got the first wave goofy.. then smashed out a few in regular felt wierd and couldn't get my usual pop from the waves..

But don't be dismayed Nicky.
Many RealSurfers i suspect are goofy too. Just can't admit it.
And, as you can see in the God thread, that despite coping a pasting, he/she is proudly goofy too.

yeah i skate, snowboard do the lot.. It's all goofy.. I'm thinking either it's coz i'm riding right side breaks and my brain is just going with that or what.. Hopefully it goes away soon.. might head out in a few days and see what the go is..

Never heard of that before..But it could be the way you are meant to be surfing :?
I dunno..gets you thinking if you are ambidextrous or other possibilities. skate or Snowboard a lot? doing 180's 540's etc.(landing backward etc) Strange.
Buying a new board will help. check out the sick Jim Banks hit the road 4sale and other boards

ohh and good pitch about the board.. but ill have to pass.. Muula is quite low atm.. im thinking the fact that my right rotator cuff was damaged the other week could cause a twisting motion.. But i spose we will just have to wait and see.. any other theorys are apprieciated.

I wouldn't worry about it Ricky, in fact I would use it and take up surfing both ways. Nover tried it myself but if it was happening naturally I'd explore it further.
