I remember being a grom of about 13, and seeing a board at Carey's surfshop at 'rilla with the same spray. I loved it and always wanted to have a board with that spray.

the sprays not bad, although i reckon you should've had bolts where the FCS stickers are.

yeah, its been an idea in my head for only about 20 years, saw the rivets around the wheels on a hotted up Torana and thought it'd be cool on a board.....getting the silver to look like weathered steel was the challenge.....

whats the 'Chode' having as far as fins, glassing, colour etc. ?

Its going to have three FCS plugs set right back at the tail like a typical Mini-Simmons. Parallel or 10 degrees of toe-in, I haven't decided. First surf will probably be finless though MP

The glassing was a single 4oz patch on the bottom with fin patch, plus two 4oz patches on the top (and you could describe my glass job as a mess). I introduced some special new-age elements into the glass, heaps of air bubbles to help with buoyancy...

No colour, I thought the Surfblanks writing on the top will do for the time being. I don't know if it'll be worthy of lots of paint yet, we'll see. I'm just stupidly excited to finish it next weekend and get it into the water.

Been toying with the idea of getting something similar but in the 6'9'' or 6'10'' range for cruisy point break that I sometimes visit.

Lovely looking HPS for more serious waves. Thats the type of board missing from my quiver, I have an obsession with variations of the small to medium wave board at the moment. It has left a big gaping hole in my quiver whenever the surf gets serious, i.e. my biggest board is a 6'0"! haha

Give us some ride reports after you have taken it around the racetracks mate
