Deev's, that board's amazing... But surely you didn't need the centre fin plug? I mean, you ordered the board as a quad, so why would you want to ride it as a thruster? Just a waste of space to me...

Otherwise great board, made me wish I had a spare grand... (don't we all!)

Correct Banga ! It is a waste of space.
I blame this forum ......the public opinion voice for the centre plug !!!!!

I read every bit of info I could in regards to QUADS and come to the conclusion that regardless of it being a well made board there is a chance I won't like the 4fin feel . So I thought cover my bases and whack another plug in and worse case scenario is I ride it as a thruster .................

Love the QUAD ...........so basically I'm stuck with it  !!!!
On a bright note it doesn't seem to affect how it goes . :D

The Josh Dowling Experience has begun.

I have put in an order for a quality wave board (step up). Josh has suggested a 6'2" pin tail. Remember fellas I'm a light weight 5'6" 60kgs. Its so good to chat to a shaper again.

I really dig the new tech, but was seriously disappointed with the Sunova experience. Not the board, it is well made and performs really well, but my whole motivation was I wanted to try a "FIREWIRE" board, but I was under the false impression that it would be a more personal experience. It was not, as far as I'm concerned, Sunova is just another Firewire. Off shore, off Rack standard spec boards.

My Josh Dowling Experience, so far, has been the complete opposite. He is talking to me and discussing options. From what I have seen from some of his ither customers, he is the real deal and if you guys are seriously considering a high performance board which is built to perform and more importantly last. Josh Dowling is the man.

BTY

I actually havent surfed on one of his custom made craft yet, so as far as the end result is concern that will be in Chapter 2.

TY Wingnut and DV8 for previous info

DV8 wrote:Verdict is in after a few hours in 3-4ft clean lefts this morning. This thing flies. Instant speed of the mark is great . I havent felt this much squirt before in a board. I guess thats a combo of the 4 fins and the wider plan shape. Used the M-7 & G1000 combo it seems to be a good mix ,felt like it had the right combo of drive and release.
Loving the few inches shorter board also as you get to your feet and they are straight into the sweet
spot, no shuffling around to find it . My new favourite toy !!!
Rode the JD QUAD as a thruster this morning and happy to say that its also very functional . The cluster is a little more together than normal thruster setup but the M7's with M5' centre worked well .

Hi guys,

Not much action on this post lately!! Wondering how the new Josh Dowling shapes have been travelling in the more consistant waves we seem to have been getting over the past few?

Still awaiting my JDS but must admit even though there has been a bit more size and punch to the waves of late, my 5'10" FW Quadraflex is still my weapon of choice over the 6'0"(although it measures more like 5'11") Sunova Nitro.

Hey Dolf...

I sprayed yours on Friday...Its looking particularly special. Its a weapon. No, no sneak-previews. Sorry!

2pac finish, hardening up over next couple of days, then in the box and on the truck to you.
