That's because we have no local lids like most other beaches. Just because we drop in on them doesn't mean we hate them.
Hey Jamoe, Davo is making a go on the WQS with out a sponsor, paying his own way, anyone can back themselves and do that.

Yes, I took it in the manner it was presented.

That has got to be some serious coin in backing yourself. Airfares, accommodation, etc., I hope the prize money is enough... any ideas what he would have won from his recent results?

Davo is a good kid.
This is where the whole being able to judge Davo’s character thing falls apart KrustyKnackers.
We need you to raise the bar up a tad, so your (as opposed to you’re) little tacker grows up to be a well rounded individual, as an example, like the other KK - Knicknack.

for what reasons do people feel like they want (or need) to do the grind of the WQS?
Financial rewards can hardly be it ... very very few make much money.
A surfing lifestyle jetting around the globe ... not as straightforward as that. Involves lots of time away from family and friends, not often good waves, stress from competition, and the like.
Ego ...
Interesting decision
ps. It could be to prove to oneself that they are a great surfer .... but if you need to do that I doubt that the WQS will help.

6)known Davo since his old lady parked the car at NN pool road(when it was open to cars) near the "keep clear for ambulance" sign, while he surfed. If i can recall it was around 86/87/88.
Davo is a good kid.
and "bookster" nice attempt at trying to discredit my reputation as an upstanding pillar of the community
Think I'll call that catch and release....

Dear Bookster
Ive got news for you. You just tagged and released a boot. I found your post a crack up (im not that stupid)
.I could have responded to your “ponytail” sketch in a number of ways.
I chose to use the opportunity to big note myself and clarify a few points.
You should know now how a woman feels when she is “used”.
PS Ric. Sorry i should have stipulated the type of people i like abusing.
Do you wanna go there
That should make things crystal clear for everyone....and yes it involves the ubiquitous "kook".
Puurri...Its no use speaking French to German people. If they want an angry 20 something year old to abuse..i give it to them.

As long as you’re (not ‘your’ in this case) discerning I think it will be OK, KrustyK.
