Cool thanks mate. I'm 10kg lighter than you, though I don't mind volume in a midlength, especially pu/pe boards. I reckon I could go a 7'6" and be covered from waist high to half overhead.

I'm going freaking nuts.... Haven't had a surf since that last good session at the point... Too much work makes Jet a dull boy.

Had a good look at the quiver today. Would have to sell a board to fund a bonzer but jeez, all my boards are much loved, even the ones I don't surf much. Be hard to part with any of them without regret. Maybe tax time

I should really stop looking in this thread. So damn hard though

Ha no different, name sometimes used for the Campbell Bros eggs. Mine was a second hand bargain find in a shop which didn't know what it had, priced like a pop out euro back packer mini mal (couldn't run out of there fast enough with it), Got a thoroughbred for the price of a donkey. 7'2" x 21 x 2 3/4. Somehow doesn't feel that thick. Can testify to range, had it out in waste high with some zip and had a ball and in one and half over head peaks running into head high pitching barrels and loved it then too. Should ride it more often.

That's an awesome story! The store guy thinking - why does this have five fins?

Malcolm sometimes calls eggs with the e-wing (in the tail) - speed eggs. Apparently the e-wing gives it a sharper turning radius.

A pox on the hipsters for pushing the price of the weird and unorthodox through the roof.
Before those bastards were plastering their every move on the internet even the price of a single fin...and I mean a fin...was reasonable at $60 or so.

That price has dropped since Gecko's post. Was $825 earlier, now he's asking $785.

$785? Sweet board for the same price as a paper thin disposable rip stick like Kelly rides that'll fall apart in a few months

And gone. It'll be interesting to see how many from the recent shaping tour come up for sale over the next few months, and how much they'll fetch.

bear in mind a gloss/polish adds approx. $100 to a board, the buyer got a great deal if indeed the board was in near new cond.

Plus a little extra for volan.
That 6'8" egg looks very, very nice too.
