6'8"x19-1/4"x2-1/8

This board (as strange as it may seem) has a fish look about, i have left it wide down the tail to get a bit more speed out of my turns, so far seems to work but i am still getting use to it as I’ve only had it in the water for the last 4 weeks.

My last board was: 6'4"x18-1/4"x2-1/4 considering I’m 6'6" this was a bit of a struggle

6'8" x 19.5" x 2.5" swallow tail thruster
6'6" x 21 x 2.75" 2 + 1 egg
6'0" x 20 something x 2.5" or so Dick Van Straalen epoxy fish

Looking to get rid of my 6'10" x 19.5" x 2.5" rounded pin thruster on the basis I never use it and getting instead a 6'6" x 19.75" x 2 5/8" swallow tail thruster. ie the 6'8" becomes my biggest board and the new 6'6" becomes the everyday small wave board. Fact is I don't surf much over 6'. 6' is the comfort zone. 8' I'm scared but still head out and any bigger I don't go out at all.

what do you guys do with old boards? Sell them on consignment at the local surfshop? Use RealSurf classifieds? Trade 'em in? Use eBay?

I've got a couple of decent boards I no longer ride and want to offload 'em - use the funds to get another newy!

I either trade them in when I'm getting a new one (which means I order new boards through a retailer) or I sell on consignment in a local surf shop. The going rate to sell is either 20% or 25% that goes to the retailer.

I just had a ride of my new 6'8", which does feel long, although goes well. I'm still finding where to put my feet on it. I think I'll definitely go a maybe a half inch wider and a little more nose volume on my next board.

Go the 6'6" buzzy
a few weeks ago i got a brand new sam egan: 6'6"x 19 1/4" x 2 1/2"
i've had 8 surfs on it, in surf between 2 - 6 ft, over the last few weeks...
it handles the size, and manoevrable in the smaller stuff (last sunday for example)
my gun is 7"0" x 18 3/4" x 2 1/2"
my indo barrel semi-gun is 6'7" x 18 1/4" x 2 1/4"
my former shorty was 6'5" x 18 3/4 x 2 5/16" - i felt i needed just a little more volume for paddling, as i ain't gettin' younger...
i'm 5'10" short & a lightweight at 85 - 89 kgs
