yeh its called Gaelic football, played mainly in Ireland, pretty much the same as Aussie Rules but use a round ball and have a different scoring system it has AFL posts with net in the bottom.

It's a hybrid between between both codes. Been going for a decade or so. Under the cross bar is 6 pts, over is 3, and to side is 1. You can only bounce once (I think) then you need to solo (kick it to yourself).

I think aussie rules is a combo of gaelic footy and a game ausy aborigines played
apparently stuffed animal skin kicked around ...
If it's well engineered it's beautiful .

i also watched it.
love afl
not really a fan of this gaelic football not nearly as fast as afl and the round ball means the kicks swing all over the shop in the air.
too much like crappy socer (eg; [g]A[y]-League)

Its called international rules... shaunm was right regarding rules and stuff... played each year between aus and ireland... australia normally wins because their skills are unbelievable, but occasionally the irish get up in wet conditions when the soccer skills become more important... who won by the way??

Ireland snatched it in the last min when we tried to run down the clock and stuffed.
We won the last one but Ireland won the 2 before.
This game was slower than previous matches due to the slippery conditions. Few biffos behind play, a Warwick Capper impersonator and a streaker. Next one is tomorrow week, they only play 2 and do an agregate if it's one all.
