Can you see this https://reader.elsevier.com/reader/sd/p ... 265A535452, Wyre?

I think it's open access. The Discussion section and onward references probably have most of what you're looking for. A skim seems to suggest that there's quite a lot of 'may' and not a lot of certainty though
Yep, some great info in there gsTq. Thanks for that.

Five weeks until I’m back in the water. I was going to do the left ear straight after it, but I’m going to wait another 3-4 months then do it. It’s too long out of the water otherwise. I’ll go mad.

Im on the public list and got the call saying they can do my operation at a private hospital in 5-12 weeks from now so they can work through the list a bit quicker.
With an indo trip booked in June, I had to decline.

Just got the staples out 30 mins ago. Holy god. The vacuum-hose-in-the-ear-to-suck-out-the-congealed-blood-and-gunk procedure. Disgusting viewing. And sound is shrill, like a tornado inside your skull.

So are you getting yourself ear plugs so you don’t have to go through this again?

I've found that the ear flaps on a surf cap are great for ear protection. WA has bitterly cold morning offshores.

Why are they still persisting with the cave man operation if the other one is so much better?
