We usually go to Pt Plomer.
Looking for somewhere different.
Must have good babyfood surf for kids , fishing .
redneck wonderlands OK. No film, writers or food festivals or anything else that attracts Homo Urbanis in large numbers.

Depends on time of year and how far you're willing to go, but here has a good fam hol destination. Right on the beach. Cabins or camp sites. Park around the lake is great. Walk to town. And just maybe someone will point you to some ok waves

Plomer is good Shep. We spent a fair bit of time at Scotts when the boys were young, but the banks are rooted nowadays. Sandon River maybe. Evans ? How far do you want to travel ? Hat Head could be an option, good fishing, ordinary surf. Hey you did the surfari shit, you should know.steve shearer wrote:We usually go to Pt Plomer.

The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Straddy was shortlisted but QLD school hols is on then so all of QLD is off limits.
Red Cliff: too exposed. Done shiteloads of camping there.
Hey Beery, anywhere south of the Dulla that has a nice kiddies corner type set-up? Or even south of Sydney.

Re: Family Holiday destination.
Just before Xmas.
We'll take the kids out a week early but QLD has already started.
SW rocks is a possible, as is Currarong.
whats the surf like at Currarong?
I like the Mid North Coast, it's reliable.

Re: Family Holiday destination.
Surf's pretty tiny right in the corner and it's a long way around to the back beach.
You asked for kiddie waves.
But you get some decent shape.
Some reef options around up the beach.
Got access to a 4WD?
Bush camping suitable or you need showers?

Re: Family Holiday destination.
Hey Steve, Merry Beach down near Bawley has a family friendly caravan park. Protected beach with little close outs but not really ever rippy, heaps of roos and a little shop a safe walk for the kids to go and get ice for you. Good size pool Sites right on the beach and a good headland to wander around and fish. Quite a few accessible abalones if you up for a snorkel. You can also walk over to Pretty beach which will get you a few better waves. Otherwise Hat Head is not bad with the lagoon and a fairly safe beach. Again the general store is not much of a walk and you always have South West Rocks and Trial bay for the outing.
Al this is gold. "She didn't realise I was fairly high and spent much of the evening trying to figure out why a purple and orange cow wanted me to climb a tree."
