Bali has the same population as Australia.
Bali has about the same population as Sydney is what you meant to say Beano.

No need to let some facts get in the way of a good scare story.
Shanghai does have the same population as Australia however.
Did you know Java has the same population as Russia?

Better surf in Java than Russia by most accounts.

Something for Matticus to see in Bali ...

http://www.surfersjournal.com/the-russian-start
Russian surfing was incubated on Bali. The top Russian surfers live on Bali and many of them learned to ride waves in the frothy nuclear shorebreak of Kuta.

Plus, the Russians have a "High Heels" longboard contest.

Have to try harder, Matty.
I managed to put heel dents in my Innegra deck....after an unintentional air drop on an 8fter.

So Matticus try to get the Fock away from any area where there are a lot of Aussies and explore the place. Go west, east inland but not to the main areas. It will really improve everything.

You don't even need one night in Kuta / Legian to see why.

Matticus this is your chance mate, adopt a pommy accent and call yourself Jeeves Ramsbottom, a down on his luck chimney sweep from Manchester looking for waves and maybe love in a foreign country. A slight limp will complement the look, as well as a tweed jacket.

Or you could get risky and pose as an American. Call yourself Jammin budholes the 3rd. To pass, just act like a total dick, and be as culturally insensitive as you can. Talk really loudly too.

How good are your euro accents ?? This could be interesting.

Geez, it's sad when the only thing worse than Aussies are Yanks.

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, vewi vewi busy, and not being in an office every day now leaves me little time for computing.

Will be delivering a 41' trawler yacht from Fla. 500 miles back up here to Wrightsville Beach next week and taking at least ten days. Then it's up to Brooklyn to a niece's wedding for a few days.

\Then, following in your fearless footsteps Matty.
Hope all is going well for you. My son and I have just gotten all flights sorted -- leaving Bangkok June 2, Tiger Air, 18 hr. layover in Singapore -- both ways -- :-? -- returning to Bangkok June 15.

Would be greatful for any info you might be able to send my way re. accommodations/surf we had discussed earlier.
cheers

ps I hear the Bali Pro begins the 17th of June? faark

I love realsurf. with a deep and abiding passion.
Whether it be artwork by fong, a book by Carroll, investment/survival advice by ***sunstroke*** , loofy fashion tips, Braithy's book of Revelations unfolding,
realsurf always delivers.

The sun never sets on Realsurf!

Hey chaps. On my phone so this won't be pretty.
Made it in to Thailand last night. Leaving for Bali tomorrow with number one son.
Would have been an enormous hassle to bring boards so we'll either hire or buy.
Thanks in advance for any help with where or with whom we might begin our search to acquire.
Cheers

Just not a big fan of typing with two thumbs on a miniature keyboard barely three inches longer than andy123's cock.
First werld indeed. It's so hot here the crease has gone right out of my smart shorts.

Don't worry about us we'll be fine. There's always the nuclear option.

Boogie boards.

I'm here now Offy and there's loads of hire options.
Go to a surf shop and they have better boards than are available on the beach from what I've seen.
Where are you staying?

Thanks again Matt for everything. Figured he never got back to you.
We're in Bangkok airport right now. There's an ..18 hr layover in Singapore. :-?
Will be in Bali Tuesday arvo Jimmy, have transport arrangements to Balian, .... Pondok Pisces.
They say our driver will take us where we need to go to get boards.
Any thoughts as to where I should tell him ?
And we may prefer to buy used then resell before leaving. I've had pretty good luck doing that in central America.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Damn these sausage thumbs, damn them to hell
