Mosquito Bites - What's the best prevention?

I hate going abroad, because Mossie feast on my blood - it doesn't seem to matter what stuff I use. Anyone got any good tips to prevent the little bastards eating me?

I'd guess he's in the UK.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

You have to find and take someone who the mossies like better, but possibly that is why your friends invited you. Other options are to smear shit all over you so the flies will keep the mossies away. Our CSIRO scientists came up with an idea like that and introduced cane toads to kill off venomous taipan snakes - it has worked out wonderfully.

Seriously, if DEET doesn't work, you may as well get creative. but it should work if you apply it correctly

wear light coloured clothes - long sleeves and long pants, especially around dusk (and maybe sunrise??). or just stay under the mosquito netting at peak times.

a friend died from the side effects of antimalarial drugs. she was in south america, two days from the nearest hospital. so if you plan to use them, test them out first in a place where you have easy access to good medical care. they can also make you a bit loopy, aka crazy in the head. but this was years ago, don't know what drugs they use now.

that reminds me, once all this rain is over i'd better scour the neighbourhood and empty out any water that has accumulated in containers etc. so the little bastards don't have anywhere to breed.

Got told years back that you can mix some citronella oil in with your moisturiser - or in your sunscreen if your don't wish to admit to moisturiser - and this will keep them away.

I think it was citronella oil...

Just re-read the question, I had it all wrong.

About $10,000 should get you out of the ball park I reckon.
Less beer? A more open mind maybe?

Malcolm Douglas once did a show where he put mangrove mud all over his exposed skin to stop mozzie bites, also put some on the dogs snout.
you could try that.
