Surfboard swapping- Quiverizer.com.au

Post by Quiverizer » Mon Mar 19, 2012 3:30 pm

Yo guys, I was sitting in class one day fantasizing about my next board when it hit me that I have a pile of surfboards that I don't use and I have no money to a new board so I decided to build an online surfboard swapping website :)

It is now up at quiverizer.com.au so I would love to get your feedback on it!

You can upload boards and send swap requests for the boards you want.

Is this something you guys would use?

Cheers from Adam

Be interesting to see what happens, the one thing I can see wrong with the concept is that you have to find someone that likes what you have and vica verca which narrows the market, I think that is why money was invented :) and then there is the issue of frieght. Good site, only one way to find out if it works and your doin it.

Thanks heaps for the feedback guys, glad you like the concept :)

Crustt, you're absoloutely right, its a tricky transaction, but I reckon the more boards are up the higher the likelyhood of swaps going down, so it's all about the boards :) We're doing a big push to get to 100 boards by the end of the week, I'll let you know how it goes.

On the issue of freight, we're not really worrying about it for now, we're focusing on building it up locally (we're Northern Beaches based), cause we don't reckon people will travel very far or ship boards for a swap, you guys agree?

Btw, we had the first ever swap go down on Saturday, a 6'8" Superfish for a 7'2" mal! Stoked :)
