beat it, we were on a feral boat through the tellos from nias a few years ago and one of you're guys pretty much said to leave or they would inform the authoroties on tello....sorry we couldn't afford the $500 US a day asking price to surf there...

Just spoke to the Guide and you (if it's the right person) we're not told to leave just made aware of the drama's uncertified boats carrying tourists (turns out boats caring passengers with no permit to do so are illegal) face as the harbour Master and Police here are pretty keen to do a good job.
How was the boat did you have a life raft and nav gear? Was there a back-up engine or radio? The regular surf charter boats that run a tight ship always drop in for a beer or to watch the footy and I don't think the authorities give them a hard time. Hope you had a good trip anyway I don't think the mellow waves here suit hard-core Feral crew that much, probably better gear in Banyaks or Hinakos but I guess you know that.

Stayed at Telo Lodge last year.

Great bunch of guys, and when there, charter boats that turned up were not told to move on. In fact, we gave one of their guys a lift back from the break in front of the Lodge to his boat.

(And for the record, I have no commercial relationship to Telo Lodge).
