Bit of fun @ DY (Pics)

Post by Butts » Sun Jan 28, 2007 10:25 pm

Well out early for a surf, then strained my groin (no idea how)
so came in and had a coffee. But I couldn't sit straight watching the
conditions so headed down to the car and jumped back in the water (with my camera)

Hope you all got some today :)

I went to Dee Why for breakfast/lunch after my surf further north. It was the worst of what i saw as far as crowds and wave quality. sooooo many people out at dee why.

Why was there a heap of peoplle at No Mans land? both in the water and on the beach. it looked like a carnival or something..........?

So did I

Post by KLXracer » Mon Jan 29, 2007 9:52 am

I lived in Clyde Road a couple of years ago - but was dissatisfied with the surf so moved to England :-). It was no better there, suprise suprise, so now I live in NZ where steamers are needed even in the middle of summer... Damnit.

Still come over to DY 3 - 4 times a year for some decent warm water waves... In fact - might even zip over the ditch this weekend.

Mate, they're some very nice photos. #7's the winner for me.

What sort of camera are you using? I've been looking at trying some similar photography myself, but wouldn't know where to start.

Sleepy, funny you should mention that, up until yesterday never
Young Dan clipped me, unintentionally, just on the shoulder whilst trying to
give me some nice action. I am very conscience of fin chops though, which means
generally I just get out of the way sooner rather than later.

Dammit, yep was there today but went for a surf 8) Nice conditions, with
heaps of crunchy straight handers  Yesterday was actually better
for shape :)

Does he look anything like you KK?

RV, Always good shots of Danny, clean, nice, and extremely helpful to one "OLD"
photog

Tills, using a Finepix S9500 (thats actually for sale at the moment)

To the DYSF boys, many thanks for your persistence yesterday, it was a whole lot of fun 8)

#5 and #1 for me Butts

... driving along Wakehurst Parkway yesterday morning - I looked up to see the sun behind the clouds as in #1 and knew that you'd be pressing the shutter just about then ....

Has RV been hassling you to get the lens yet? If not - come on Ric - give him hell ....

Still waiting for SOMEONE to maybe make a decision

Catch22, do I get a waterhousing and lens, or do I get a land lens, thats
my conundrum.
Still haven't taken a single bloody shot with it yet

No more excuses sunshine, get on with it, buy less house  tell the missus she has to work harder it ain’t about HER it’s about US. You know, your forum buddies and OUR enjoyment.

Why are people so selfish these days.

Take Maxi (no one else will) he’s now a perfectly well-adjusted individual, why? You no why, and it’s all length, focal length you filthy bastards!

Buy it, buy it, buy it :D  gotta go, the wifes lurking.

Well if someone bloody well bought a photo off of me, then I may be able to justify it

Only joking   Would be nice though

I am sussing around, cost is my biggest issue (some of us don't have the
cash resources like Maxi :P ) so may have to choose only one direction
for the time being.
Need to sell my existing camera as well, otherwise I'm going to struggle with
any potential purchase

Offshore, the groin was a okay this morning. Got out for my session early
just before the southerly kicked in
